Cape Coral ADA Accessible Kayak Launch Installed

high-quality-accessible-kayak-launch-BoardSafeSirenia Vista State Park in Cape Coral, FL is an 8-acre environmental park and known as a great place to enjoy viewing manatees. It is also a favorite fishing area for locals. The park is undergoing a series of upgrades. The phase I enhancements have been completed and include a new, BoardSafe ADA accessible kayak launch area, manatee viewing locations, walking path and landscape improvements. The new, handicap accessible kayak area now allows all those in the community regardless of any physical limitations to safely enjoy the outdoor activities and wildlife.

Enjoying the marine activities at Sirenia Vista State Park is a highlight of the park. The kayak launch allows kayakers access to the Calusa Blueway thru Matlacha, and the state park has identified and created a series of water trails. 80-Foot Aluminum Gangway Manufactured and Installed

aluminum-gangway-manufacture-BoardSafe-DocksAfter a massive nor-easter shredded up New England in March 2018, many homes, businesses and other structures needed to be replaced. Included in the devestation was a 80-foot gangway which was ripped apart. The City of Quincy had to replace almost all of its floating docks. One of those replaced included a 5-foot wide by 80-foot gangway. It was an emergency repair. After BoardSafe received the order it was able to complete the project in 2 weeks.

Lake Loramie State Park Installs Accessible Kayak Boat Launch

loramie adaptive boat launchIn September 2018, Lake Loramie installed an adaptive kayak launch at its 913-acre lake. The adaptive boat launch is located between the campgrounds and the beach area accessible to adaptive restroom facilities and paved parking, walkways, near the camp store and Lake Loramie Nature Center and Museum.

The adaptive kayak boat launch was manufactured and installed by BoardSafe. It marks their first project in Ohio, but with the reception that it received it there should be many more adaptive kayak launches coming to Ohio. The kayak launch was even fit with a gangway to board a pontoon boat, see below

Ken Ryno and Adaptive Launch Featured in Nockamixon Newsletter

 

the-compass-nockamixonThe new adaptive kayak launch installed at Lake Nockamix in Bucks County, PA is a big deal for many area adaptive athletes. They were not the only ones who have a great sense of pride in the project. The Friends of Lake Nockamixon State Park and Nockamixon Sail Club both assisted in the fundraising efforts to get the adaptive launch to installed at the lake.
