This combination dock system showcases BoardSafe's ability to engineer one-of-a-kind, long-lasting solutions for complex, specialized projects.

We partnered with the Trust for Public Land (TPL) to create river access points along the unique terrain of the Chattahoochee River.

What set this project apart was the complex slope of the riverbank and the potential for flooding and strong currents.

Development
Process CONCRETE PLACEMENT Install a concrete bulkhead or foundation to anchor the gangway/ dock system. Pour concrete to create a stable, level pad or wall, precisely positioned and embedded with any required anchor bolts or embeds for secure attachment of the foundation bracket and bulkhead mounting angle. 4. Cost & constructability SITE PREP Ensure site readiness. Provide means of egress from parking to the launch site. Prepare a stable, level foundation area (such as a concrete pad or bulkhead) to securely anchor the stiff arm assembly, foundation bracket, and bulkhead mounting angle for the waterfront system. Ship pre-assembled or modular components directly to the site via coordinated trucking for safe, timely arrival. Provide clear labeling and organization to streamline unloading and staging. FINAL CONFIGURATION This comprehensive combination dock configuration showcases a water-access buildout for the high flow environment of the Chattahoochee River that incorporates a system of floating docks, an 80-ft gangway, a stiff-arm assembly for stability and a kayak launch with an adaptive kit.  8. STIFF ARM ASSEMBLY [28’] Stiff am assembly and connection hardware. Engineered support arm securely connecting the floating dock or kayak launch to a fixed foundation or bulkhead, providing stability and allowing the system to rise/fall with water levels in challenging river or fluctuating conditions. 7. FOUNDATION CONNECTION BRACKET The heavy-duty connection component that securely anchors the stiff arm assembly to a concrete foundation, bulkhead, or fixed structure, ensuring stable, tide/river-level-adaptive attachment for the floating system. 6. DIVERTER DOCK [6’10” x 8’6”] A protective, angled floating dock section positioned upstream to deflect floating debris or river hazards away from the main boarding area for enhanced safety and longevity in flowing water environments. 5. FLOATING DOCK [8x25’] A modular, water-level-adaptive platform that rises and falls with tides or fluctuations, providing stable, consistent access for boating, kayaking, fishing, and adaptive launches in rivers, lakes, or marinas. 4. LANDING DOCK [8’2” X 11’] A compact, floating platform section that provides a stable intermediate landing area adjacent to the floating dock or kayak launch for safe boarding, transfers, and access in adaptive waterfront systems. 3. BULKHEAD MOUNTING ANGLE The bulkhead mounting angle is a pre-drilled, hinged aluminum bracket permanently fastened to a concrete bulkhead or foundation, providing a secure piano hinge connection for the gangway in our waterfront systems. 2. Ramps (X2) One at the bottom and one at the top — a small aluminum platform that transition our gangways from our concrete block platforms and our docks. 1. Gangway (80') Aluminum ramp with a connecting shore to floating docks for safe, accessible access to our waterfront systems. 9. KAYAK LAUNCH [16’] Left-hand Clip-A-Launch kayak launch system that attaches to existing floating docks, featuring a modified secure attachment, boat slide/chute, and optional adaptive elements. 10.
