Designing your fishing pier

- Floating Adaptive Fishing Pier - Covered Floating Fishing Pier - Stationary / Fixed Aluminum Fishing Pier - Courtesy Dock with Fishing Access - Hybrid Fishing Pier and Kayak Launch - Commercial Aluminum Pier (Fixed)

Every BoardSafe dock is built on the same modular aluminum extrusion system that runs across our entire product line. That means gangways, finger docks, and accessories all share the same frame geometry, connection hardware, and decking system — so components integrate cleanly, layouts can be reconfigured as a program grows, and replacements are straightforward without retooling the whole system.

All of our waterfront projects can be configured with adaptive buildouts, products and accessories providing ADA accessibility for all bodies and abilities.

Our project-guided design approach sets us apart.

Every BoardSafe system begins with a planning process designed to ensure the right solution. Talk with us about your site and make the right decision for your project early.

Chester Frost Full Waterfront Buildout After storm damage to its existing facilities, we designed and installed a full waterfront improvement that replaced what was lost and raised the bar for recreation accessibility. The system includes an 80-ft. ADA-compliant gangway, two courtesy docks for boaters, and a 960-sq.-ft. covered accessible fishing pier. Together they make Chester Frost one of the few public parks in Tennessee to offer this level of combined boat access and fishing infrastructure in a single location. Learn more Scope: 6x15’ 6x25’ (5) 8x25‘ (2) 8x15’ floating docks. 8x80 dual-rail gangway, 960 sq ft covered fishing pier Green Cove Pond Green Cove Pond is a beloved trout fishing destination that had been closed for a multi-year renovation. After extensive habitat restoration, Tennessee's TWRA needed a new fishing pier to reopen the site with improved access for all anglers, including those with disabilities. The pond's remote location in the national forest and the significant elevation change from the shoreline required us to engineer an extra-long gangway to achieve an ADA-compliant slope. The result gives anglers of all abilities safe, reliable access to one of Tennessee's most scenic trout fisheries. Learn more Scope: ADA-compliant floating fishing pier, extended ADA gangway, dual-sided handrail system, composite decking Project-guided engineering by our team allows the gangway to travel and pivot safely, facilitating stable access to this one-of-a-kind restaurant. Knox Lake Accessible Fishing Pier Knox Lake State Park is a 756-acre wildlife area known for some of the best largemouth bass fishing in the state along with flathead catfish, crappie, and perch. After the dam required major structural repairs, the Ohio Division of Wildlife improved the site with a BoardSafe accessible fishing pier to ensure all anglers could access the water. Learn more Scope: ADA-compliant floating fishing pier, 1:12-slope aluminum gangway, dual-sided 36" perimeter handrail, protective toe kick Chester Frost Full Waterfront Buildout After storm damage to its existing facilities, we designed and installed a full waterfront improvement that replaced what was lost and raised the bar for recreation accessibility.
