BoardSafe commercial aluminum gangways are engineered and built to provide solutions for any marine application. BoardSafe developed its heavy-duty 100 Series aluminum extrusion specifically to meet the needs of commercial and industrial marinas and waterfronts. The heavy-duty design includes marine-grade 6160 aluminum and a proprietary extruded-aluminum frame. Commercial aluminum gangways come in standard sizes. Each order receives a design analysis based on the use and environment of the installation to match specific features, such as the bulkhead and roller hinges.

Gangways provide safe access to a floating dock or fishing pier, and while they may seem simple, there are many considerations. Gangways may secure into a bulkhead on the shore and help secure and stabilize the structure that it leads to. Gangways also must be engineered to span certain distances and maintain certain load and capacity requirements. The length of a gangway must also be measured considering tidal waters, flood stages, and water fluctuations. Similarly, the floating docks and floatation on the marine end of the gangway must be engineered and designed for similar requirements as well as properly supporting the weight of the gangway under a number of circumstances for safety and stability. We understand that our clients want to invest in their communities and offer fun and safe experiences for their users. It is for this reason that BoardSafe Docks takes great pride in engineering, designing, and configuring the best product designs for user safety and ensuring that users can maximize the enjoyment of each application.

Optional accessories for aluminum gangways: toe kick, transition plate, intermittent handrail, gate, and 42″ high handrail. Decking options include synthetic lumber, aluminum, fiberglass, and more.
